How the app works

  3. Use Build Your Trip to create and organize a personal itinerary.
  4. Use Travelers Nearby when the relevant device permissions, visibility settings and service conditions allow it.
  5. Use the friendship system to establish connections with other travelers.
  6. Private messages are available between eligible friends under the app's current communication rules.
  7. Notifications help keep you informed about relevant activity.

Travelers Nearby and location privacy

Travelers Nearby is designed around approximate distance information. The feature is not intended to expose another traveler's precise coordinates to other app users.

Location-dependent features can depend on device permissions, account settings, connectivity, availability of the service and other technical conditions.

Location privacy:
Itinerak is designed to use approximate location information for location-dependent features rather than displaying another user's precise location to other travelers.

Account and communication controls

The app provides account and profile controls that allow users to manage their presence within the service.

Friendship requests, friendship status and private messaging work together so that private communication is restricted to eligible connections under the app's current rules.

Users can also request permanent account deletion. Account deletion removes the account and associated service data according to the applicable deletion process.

Sponsored and promotional content

Itinerak may display clearly labeled sponsored or promotional cards within travel itineraries and other relevant parts of the app.

Sponsored content may be selected according to the destination, city or other contextual information associated with the current travel experience. For example, a sponsored card may be shown specifically to travelers viewing a particular destination.

Sponsored cards are identified as Sponsored or with other clear promotional labeling. Their presence does not mean that Itinerak independently recommends, guarantees or endorses the advertiser, business, service, product or offer presented in the card.

Promotional cards may contain links to external websites or services. When a user follows such a link, the user leaves Itinerak and becomes subject to the destination website's own terms, privacy practices and policies.

Itinerak is not responsible for the accuracy, availability, quality, pricing, legality, safety or fulfillment of products and services offered by third-party advertisers or linked services.

Depending on the features a user chooses to use, the service may process information such as account information, profile information, approximate location information, trip-related information, friendship and messaging activity, notifications and technical information required to operate and secure the service.

Account deletion

Users can request permanent deletion of their Itinerak account. When a verified deletion request is processed, the account and associated service data are deleted according to the applicable deletion process.

If you can access the app, the preferred method is to use the Delete Account option available in the account or profile area.

Users who cannot access the app can also follow the instructions provided on the Delete Account page.

Itinerak products

The Itinerak brand also includes a WordPress product designed for travel websites. The mobile app is a separate traveler-focused product with its own features, account system and policies.
